Well, so a Disney insider says, anyway!

The character of Will Turner in the Disney movie franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean, made famous by actor Orlando Bloom, isn’t going to make it through the fourth installment. Hold on – FOUR pirates movies…I didn’t know there was going to be four??
A source told British newspaper, Daily Star, that “the script for the fourth film is currently being written, and Disney bean counters are already examining ways to cut its massive costs.”
“[Disney] has concluded that although both Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley are essential to the continued success of the series, Orlando’s character is human NyQuil and ‘not necessary.’” Ouch! Bad luck, Orlando!
The source did not specify whether Orlando’s character will be killed off in the third installment, or early on in the fourth.
