Rumour has it that Disney are grooming Zac Efron to take over from Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
The High School Musical star, who’s said he never wants to play singing basketballer Troy ever again, has been offered US$10 million by Disney to star alongside Depp’s character, Captain Jack Sparrow, in the fourth instalment of Pirates.
“Disney knew that Zac was reluctant to do any more High School Musical movies. He had already said there was ‘no way’ he’d return as Troy,” a source revealed. “So the Disney brass came up with an offer he couldn’t refuse.”…And they just killed the franchise!! Way to to, Disney!
