The Day The World Went Crazy For Harry

This is it… the magicial journey of Harry Potter is over, with the final installment of one of the most popular literary creations of all time being released across the globe yesterday.

Fans everywhere went crazy for the boy wizard, who’s since become a household name for children and adults alike. There were witches and wizards, magical creatures and even giants, all dressed up and ready to receive their copy of what is sure to be the biggest seller of the seven books.

One fan, Llewie Cross of Balmain, said that it could be the best book of the series. “It starts off a lot darker, but after that, it’s back to normal. It’s good. It’s very good.”

Without revealing any juicy bits for those who haven’t read it yet, the ending is surprising (unless you were one of the many to check out the spoilers on the internet), and definitely not what I’d anticipated.

After the hype dies down from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, fans of the billion-dollar franchise have the last two movies to look foward to, with a current tentative release date of late 2008/early 2009 for Half-Blood Prince.
