While the dust seems to have finally settled on Michael Jackson and his family after the singer’s June 25 death, his mother Katherine is reportedly mulling over filing a wrongful death suit in connection with the singer’s fatal cardiac arrest.
If a wrongful death suit is filed, it will more than likely be against Dr. Murray, who has admitted to injecting Jackson with the powerful hospital-grade anesthetic drug Propofol just hours before the singer suffered a heart attack and died.
Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, Burt Levitch, said in a statement today:
“The possibility of a wrongful death action has been floated. In that regard, no decision has been finalized.
“Dr. Murray’s name has been floated [as a possible defendant in the potential lawsuit] because he is under investigation.”
At this stage in the investigation into Jackson’s death, his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, is still the prime suspect in any manslaughter charges that may be brought against those medicos who had provided the King of Pop with dangerous anesthetics to use in his home.
