Reality television stars Kim Kardashian and Lauren Conrad will add to their ever-expanding resumes, with an appearance as celebrity judges in cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model.
At this stage, both Kardashian and Conrad only have one-episode gigs, with Conrad slated to stop by the show on September 16, and Kardashian a few weeks later on October 21.
However, rumour has it that ANTM is looking for a more permanent replacement on the judging panel for the newly departed supermodel judge, Paulina Porizkova, and both Kardashian and Conrad are in the running for the spot.
I guess that means they should treat their cameo appearances as an audition, of sorts.
What do you Top Model fans think? Does either of these two reality fashionistas have what it takes to become a permanent fixture in the ANTM house?

Lindsay Lohan Starts Production Company

It’s a good time for struggling actress Lindsay Lohan to start a new money-making venture.
Her latest movies have flopped.
She’s turned down a role in a film that ended up a blockbuster.
And now, the troubled starlet is being sued for stealing the formula behind her supposed fake tanning spray creation, Sevin Nyne.
So, a good time it would seem, for Lohan and her fashion-line partner Kristi Kaylor to start up a production company they’ve labeled ‘Unforgettable Prods.’
Apparently, the dynamic duo are currently developing “several” projects, including a television show they’ve dubbed as Entourage for the fashion world, called Faux Real, a dating game show tentatively titled That’s What Friends Are For, and a documentary-cause show that will be produced in conjunction with one of Lohan’s connected charitable organisations.
Kaylor also revealed that the pair were “in the midst” of optioning a couple of books, too: one for film, and the other for television.
As well as all that, Kaylor said that she and Lohan “intend of weaving digital media” into everything they create at Unforgettable Prods.
“We’re taking a 360-degree approach,” Kaylor added. “Lindsay is 23-years-old, and she’s so plugged in to mobile media.”

Billy Mays Found Dead

Television “Pitchman” Billy Mays has been found dead today in his Tampa, Florida home, TMZ.com has confirmed.
According to the local P.D., the 50-year-old was found “unresponsive” by wife Deborah at around 7:45 a.m. this morning.
The TV pitchman has just returned home the day before from Philadelphia after shooting a new commercial for OxiClean, and had experienced a knock to the head during the plane’s landing. Mays told a local television station of the landing, explaining, “All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head.” The plane’s front tyre is believed to have blown out upon hitting the tarmac.
Mays was apparently in good health after the head knock, and was “acting fine and normal [at home]… he was talking business with his father-in-law.” However, Billy’s wife Deborah has since told investigators that her husband “wasn’t feeling well” the night before, indicating that the head knock he received aboard the US Air flight could be the cause behind his shock death.
An autopsy is expected to be completed by the Medical Examiner’s Office by tomorrow afternoon. At this stage, police do not suspect foul play in the TV pitchman’s death.

New Vampire Drama Heading to The CW

Looking to piggy back on the success of novel-turned-blockbuster-movie, Twilight, U.S. network The CW has just announced that it’s developing a pilot for a potential new series about a young high school student caught in a love triangle with two vampires.
If the plot sounds familiar, it’s because it is – but no, it’s not a cheap Twilight rip-off. In actual fact, the series is based on The Vampire Diaries, a quartet of young adult books written by Ljane Smith and first published in 1991.
The stories revolve around young Elena Gilbert, an American high school student who comes back from France and falls in love with two vampire brothers, one good, and one evil. Kinda makes Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight seem even less original that it already was.
The television series of the same name will be produced by the people behind cult series Gossip Girl, Alloy Entertainment, and run by Dawson’s Creek’s own Kevin Williamson, and with pedigrees like that running the show, there’s no doubt the pilot will be a killer hit.
With adaptations of Twilight and now The Vampire Diaries making it onto television and movie screens, I guess we can all expect the vampire craze sweeping through tweens across the globe to last well into the forseeable future.
