Sophie Monk Dating ‘Maroon 5′ Singer

Australian actress Sophie Monk has finally gotten over ex-Benji Madden, and is rumoured to be dating another singer — Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine.

The Date Movie star, who was engaged to Good Charlotte rocker Madden before he dumped her for Paris Hilton, has been spotted “enjoying a string of romantic encounters” with notorious ladies’ man Levine at hip L.A. hangout, the Chateau Marmont.

One onlooker said: “Adam rolled up on his motorcycle and it was obvious that he was there to see Sophie. They cuddled on the patio… they sat extremely close and were whispering in each other’s ears.”

At least she’s now dating someone a little bit closer to her on the “attractiveness” scale. I never did buy that whole “blonde-bombshell-loving-a-blimpy-tattooed-rocker” thing.

Former ‘Destiny’s Child’ Member to Perform on ‘Australian Idol’

Australian Idol has possibly snagged its biggest ever guest star!

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, two former Destiny’s Child performers have “been approached” to appear on this year’s Australian Idol finale show, set to air on November 23.

However, a source told the newspaper that a cameo appearance from the biggest name of all – Beyonce Knowles – isn’t looking too likely at this stage, with Beyonce’s peeps not “overly enthused” about the idea of the Grammy-award-winner appearing on a reality singing show.

“It’s not looking promising with Beyonce but we may end up with someone like [fellow Destiny's Child singer] Kelly Rowland appearing at the Opera House,” the soure said.

In its sixth season locally, Australian Idol is looking to revamp its aging format, and producers hope an appearance by a former Destiny’s Child bandmate will bring the massive audiences from previous series’ back to the Network Ten show.

Australian Idol, Season 6, will premiere on August 24.

Shania Twain & Husband Split

Country singer Shania Twain and her producer husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, have split after a 14-year marriage, Shania’s rep has revealed.

“Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage,” Twain’s spokesperson Jason Owen said in a statement this morning. “This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”

Twain and Lange met and married in 1993, after a six-month courtship. They have one child together – Eja D’Angelo, six.
