Pantyhair’s Father Released on Bail

Hayden Panettiere’s father, Alan, has been released from custody on $50,000 bail.
The 49-year-old was arrested on Monday morning on suspicion of battery, after allegedly “striking” wife Lesley at their daughter’s charity dinner on Sunday evening.
According to the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department, Panettiere was arrested at around 3:15 a.m. Monday morning at his West Hollywood home, and spent around 10 hours in lock-up before the bail came through.
Panettiere was charged with felony domestic violence, after a verbal fight with wife Lesley, 52, turned physical.
The pair were seen arguing at daughter Hayden’s Whaleman Foundation Benefit Dinner by several on-lookers. Shortly after their fight, Alan is said to have struck his wife “one or two times on the cheek,” causing visible bruising.
One party observer said: “When they were both about to leave, they had a heated argument outside the restaurant. They were doing a good amount of yelling.”
At this stage, investigators believe that alcohol was involved in the incident.

Morgan Freeman Released & Feeling “Real Good”

Morgan Freeman has been released from hospital after last Sunday’s shocking car accident, and says he’s feeling good and is now on the road to recovery.
“I left the hospital today just after 12 noon, Memphis time,” the Oscar-winning actor said in a statement released by his rep earlier today. “I’m doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at ‘Elvis Presley [Hospital]‘ and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It’s great to know people care about you.”
Freeman’s rep, Ken Sunshine, added: “He’s recovering nicely at home, and his career will continue as planned.”
It’s not all sunshine and roses for the Dark Knight star, though. Earlier in the week, the 71-year-old’s lawyer confirmed that he and his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, were divorcing. As well as the divorce, Freeman will also have to contend with wearing a neck brace… for the next six to eight months.
Freeman’s good friend and business partner, Bill Luckett, added: “The doctors have said it will be six months to a year before he plays golf again. He hates that.”

Kardashian Released Early Due to Bomb Threats
July 22, 2008 by Amber

There’s plenty of preferential treatment when it comes to the law for the stars of today, but Khloe Kardashian insists her early release from prison had nothing to do with her celebrity status.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radion show that she was sent home early because of a number of bomb threats on the prison itself. According to Khloe, the prison wardens blamed her for the threats, and wanted her out quick-smart in the hopes that the threats would stop.
“As soon as I got to Lynwood, there were three bomb threats, and so they put me in solitary confinement,” Khloe said on the radio show Monday morning.
“A warden came down to see me and said, ‘You’re the one causing all the problems here… There’s all these bomb threats, and we’re thinking it’s for you.’
“They released me early because I was a threat to the prison.”
Kardashian added: “There’s 2,500 inmates in there, and they [had] 2,515 [when I was there]. So they were overcrowded, but [my release was] because of the hysteria.”
“The whole prison was on lockdown,” the 24-year-old continued. “It was actually really scary.”
However, despite the hysteria, Kardashian was still forced to watch an educational video about “how to be a good inmater, how to avoid staph infections,” something she says will stick in her mind for a long time to come.
“[It] was an intense video… disgusting visuals,” Khloe said.
Though she was only in the slammer for a short time, that doesn’t mean the reality star has been let off the hook. Kardashian confirmed that she still has to attend all of her classes and pay a fine for her DUI conviction (which she blamed on the death of her father).
“”I still have to go and do all of my classes and everything else and still pay. It’s so much money!” she whined. “It’s been heartache for my family.”
The reality star was originally due to serve time in a downtown Los Angeles county jail, but was moved to the Lynwood, California facility because of some unknown “complications.” She was booked in on Friday, but was released just 173 minutes later, making her prison stay one of the shortest for a celebrity in recent times.
Since her release, Kardashian has vowed that she’s learnt her lesson, and will “never” drink and drive again.
“One drink, and you could get pulled over!” she said. “Have a friend drive you, leave your car there, it’s not worth it.”
