A New York club owner who’s pro-Lohan has offered to settle the unfortunate mess made by the ’stolen mink coat’ debacle, and is even willing to throw a free mink into the deal!
John Englebert, owner of NYC hotspots Prime and Suzie Wong, is disgusted at the “spoilt brat” behaviour of Masha Markova (the ’stolen’ mink’s rich owner) and wants to help Lindsay out by settling the lawsuit Markova has slapped on the Mean Girls star.
As well as fixing up the suit, Englebert is prepared to give Lohan a brand new $11,000 blonde mink coat – just like the one she allegedly took by mistake – for free!
How could LiLo say no to that?

Masha Markova, a 22, Columbia student is claiming that Lindsay Lohan stole her $11,000 blond mink coat.
The mink, a gift from her grandmother disappeared from a private birthday party for a friend of Stavros Niarchos, at 1Oak on January 26.
Markova was sitting next to Lohan, and recalled putting the mink in a common bin with other jackets. When she went lo leave, there was no sign of the jacket.
That by itself is no reason to accuse, or even suspect Lindsay as the mink thief, but other events gave rise to Markova’s suspicions.
Two weeks later, Markova was flipping pages in OK! Magazine and saw a photograph of Lohan taken on the night of Jan. 26. Lohan behold, she was wearing the very same fur coat.
Markova then trolled the net, looking for more shots of Lohan wearing the coat and found quite a few. She also found shots taken earlier in the night, before she arrived at the party, which showed Lohan wearing a black coat. She contacted 1Oak to complain and was told they’d take care of it, but never called back.
With no result from the club, Markova got her immigration lawyer, Merrill Cohen involved. He contacted Lohan’s Hollywood attorney, Blair Berk, threatening litigation. The next thing, 1Oak contacted her.
“They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word ‘coat,’ ” Markova said. “They just said, ‘We’re going to bring you something.’ “
The coat arrived at Markova’s Morningside Heights apartment two days later, stinking of cigarettes and booze, with a slight tear in the lining.
As you’d expect, there is no comment from Lohan’s people, but you would have to suspect that being photographed wearing a coat that reportedly doesn’t belong to you would seem to indicate that something went on. Maybe she thought it was a gift or on loan, you know how these things work…..
