Peaches Denies Divorce Rumours

Peaches Geldof has denied that she and her singer husband Max Drummey are getting a divorce, but has admitted that their marriage is experiencing some problems.

A friend of Peaches revealed earlier today that divorce proceedings had started, but a spokesperson for the 19-year-old insists this isn’t the case.

“Like most couples, Peaches and Max have their ups and downs, and things might be said in the heat of the moment,” said Geldof’s spokesperson.

“But they are still together and they are not divorcing.”

Peaches Geldof to Divorce

Peaches Geldof is set to divorce her young hubby after just 96 days of marriage.

The 19-year-old cocaine addict allegedly dumped her rocker husband Max Drummey on Wednesday, after cancelling a gig in London so she could fly to New York and give the 24-year-old the bad news.

A friend of Peaches said, “She realised it was all a mistake – and her dad Sir Bob is delighted.”

According to pals, Peaches is calling her marriage of three months quits because she’s bored with her husband and doesn’t “fancy” him anymore.

“It’s over,” Peaches told her friends. “I just don’t fancy him any more.”

A source close to the British teenager confirmed the split, adding that the habitual drug user and her lawyers would be meeting to flesh out the divorce very soon.

“Peaches is going to divorce Max,” the source said. “She woke up to realise the marriage was a huge mistake and that Max is not the man of her dreams.

“She doesn’t fancy him any more, and wants to move on. To her it is as simple as that. She just wants to divorce him and find a new boyfriend.”

Max, however, isn’t taking news of the divorce very well at all.

“Max is heartbroken,” the source added. “He has been through the mill in the last three months, but there is nothing he can do. He genuinely believed marriage was a long term commitment, but Peaches has shattered his dreams.”

According to a pal, Peaches was warned not to rush into marriage with Drummey.

“We all warned her not to rush into this but Peaches, being as defiant and cocky as ever, just ploughed in head first.

“Over the past few weeks they hardly spent any time together in America. When they did they both got on each other’s nerves. None of Peaches’ friends is surprised by what’s happened.”

Peaches herself has admitted that she never thought the marriage was for keeps. Just three weeks ago, the 19-year-old confessed that she didn’t marry Max to be together forever.

“I didn’t go into [marriage] with Max thinking, ‘This is going to last forever.’ But I did go in thinking, ‘I love him right now and I know I will continue to love him for a long while.’”

Apparently, that “long while” was 96 days.
