Michael Jackson Memorial Participants Revealed

The celebrity contingient set to take part in tomorrow’s Michael Jackson memorial service have just been announced by the Jackson family. Here’s the list:

Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Andrae Couch Choir, Ron Boyd (family friend), Berry Gordy, Jennifer Husdon, Shaheen Shaheen Jafargholi (finalist on Britain’s Got Talent), Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, John Mayer, Bernice A. King, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Pastor Lucious Smith (family friend), Usher and Stevie Wonder.

Jackson’s close friends, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross (named as the Jackson children’s second guardian in the will), are the most notable omissions from the list.

It is believed that both women will be attending Jackson’s private funeral instead, set to take place a few hours before the public memorial at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Mariah Carey’s Marriage on the Rocks

It looks like Nick Cannon’s just realised he’s married pop’s biggest diva.

After just two short months, the marriage between singer Mariah Carey and rapper Nick Cannon is on the verge of breaking. Sources close to the couple claim that Nick is “sick and tired” of his wife’s “diva demands,” and is seriously considering leaving.

“Things are really bad between them,” one source said. “The honeymoon period was over before it began. Nick’s been surprised at just how demanding his wife is.

“He feels like her skivvy and moans she has him waiting on her hand and foot. Of course, they met not long before they decided to get married so there were always going to be things they needed to learn about each other. It appears Nick’s learned he doesn’t like her very much.”

The 38-year-old songstress first met rapper Cannon on a music video in March this year. They wed on April 30, after only a few weeks together.

If Nick decides he really does want out, a divorce lawyer isn’t the only professional he’ll have to visit. Since hooking up with the Honey singer, 27-year-old Cannon has had the name ‘Mariah’ tattooed across his shoulders.

During a shopping trip to the Fred Segal store in Hollywood, Mariah Carey pulled out her infamous “I’m-a-diva-and-I’m-better-than-you” look, as she waved to the “little people” (that’s you and me).

Now that she’s married, I guess she can tack on “…because-I’m-a-newly-wed” to the end of that statement.

They really did it, folks! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have actually tied the knot… for real!

Last Friday, we reported that a “reliable source” had confirmed the shock nuptials of Carey and Cannon, but nobody really believed it. However, Mariah’s white wedding photos have been sold to People magazine, proving that all of the rumours of the past week have been 100 % true!

“We really do feel we are soulmates,” Carey told People, after their sunset ceremony at her Bahamas home on April 30.

“I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me,” the Butterfly songstress added.

Cannon said of his bride: “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”
