Britney’s Conservatorship Almost Over

Britney Spears will soon be free to lead a frivilous life once more, with rumours surfacing that Daddy-O is set to release her from the binds of her conservatorship.

Sources have revealed that father Jamie Spears will soon ask the court to “review the terms” of the conservatorship after Spears worldwide Circus concert tour ends in November.

While Mr. Spears has no say on whether or not the conservatorship should be ended, he can ask for a review, which will them prompt the judge to re-evaluate his decision to place the pop singer under such strict parental and financial care.

Spears has been under the care of her father since he first took control of her estate and person in February 2008, after Britney’s multiple admissions into the psych ward at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre.

Britney’s Dad Breaks His Silence

Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, has spoken out about his struggle to re-gain control in her life for the first time since taking over as her conservator in February.

Spears have kept no secrets, speaking candidly about the custody battle, what he thinks of Britney’s ex, Kevin Federline, and how his relationship with his daughter is today.

“We’ve grown a lot,” Mr. Spears told OK! magazine. “I’ve been able to come back into my daughter’s life, and that was an adjustment anyway, because I’m an alcoholic and it’s the first time we’ve really been able to share.”

On the custody battle: “It made no sense for that trial to proceed so we worked out an agreement. The agreement says that on Oct. 1 we’ll probably get another overnight, and that will stay in place until the end of the year or the end of the conservatorship.”

On Kevin Federline: “Kevin has a wonderful heart. I don’t agree with giving him more money… He wants them to raise these kids together. Kevin’s heart is right.”

On the conservatorship: “I would hope that it stands until the end of the year, and then we’ll sit back and evaluate where we are at the time, where Britney is at that time.”

Jamie added that while the taking over of the conservatorship by her father was a “major adjustment” for Britney, it’s been a blessing in disguise, and has given them both a second chance to grow together and re-build their father-daughter relationship.

“It’s wonderful. It’s new for both of us,” he said. “She sometimes calls me 50 times a day and asks me things that light my life up. But, like all daughters, she is very manipulative and cunning. So she gets what she wants a lot.

“I do understand that my baby made this monster,” he added. “But when she was down, people took advantage.”

Britney Under Father’s Control Until ‘09

The ruling is in: Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, will retain conservatorship of the singer’s finances and her estate until December 31, the L.A. Superior Court decided in a hearing on Thursday.

Commissioner Reva Goetz said after the hearing, “Ms. Spears is reluctantly agreeing to extend the temporary [conservatorship].”

However, the commissioner was quick to point out that Mr. Spears’ conservatorship could be “terminated earlier” if needed. A status hearing has been set for October 28, at which point, if the court deems Brit Brit well enough to handle her own affairs, a termination of her father’s control would be undetaken.

Jamie Spears and his attorney, Andrew Wallet, have been in control of the Toxic singer’s estate and finances since February, after Spears was hospitalised for a second time with a bipolar attack.

This has got to be a kick in the guts for Lynne Spears.

Family insiders have said that Jamie Lynn has told her mother to butt out, feeling that she hasn’t got much support from her mother so far and doesn’t need her help with the pregnancy.

In an even bigger blow, Jamie Lynn has said she would rather have Casey’s mum in the delivery room instead of Lynne Spears.

Britney’s Dad Wants To Buy K-Fed Back For Her

Jamie Spears is so desperate to get her and K-Fed back together, that he has offered him $4.5 million to remarry Britney according to Star Magazine.

Brit’s dad has been in negotiations for several months, while trying to keep it secret from Britney. Too late.

Since Jamie has taken control of Britney’s assets, he is in a position to negotiate terms without her knowing.

His latest offer to K-Fed is $4.5 million in cash and a trust account set up with another $5 million if Kevin moves back in with Britney within a year. If they actually remarry, Jamie will add another $5 million to Kevin’s account.

K-Fed is still holding out for the $20 million he wants to get out of the marriage and he doesn’t want to sign any stinking pre-nup.

Dad Working For Britney Full Time

Jamie Spears, pop star Britney’s father, has quit his full-time catering job in order to better serve as the co-conservator of the Toxic singer’s estate.

Earlier in the year, Jamie was awarded the co-conservatorship of Spears’ estate by the courts, after a string of psychiatric episodes left the mother-of-two unable to properly care for herself or her finances. Since February, the overseeing of his daughter’s affairs has become a full-time job, forcing Jamie to quit his own job.

As a result of his lack of employment, Mr. Spears was given $10,000 in back pay to cover his first month’s work on the pop star’s estate, and will now received $2,500 per week as a salary for his continued efforts.

“The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator… have required [his] full-time attention,” a request for ‘replacement compensation filed by Mr. Spears read. “As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses.”

Since playing a larger role in his daughter’s life and financial affairs, Jamie has helped the young aspiring actress secure two successful gigs on the hit show How I Met Your Mother, as well as regain some of her visitation rights for her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
