Jackson’s Burial Still a Mystery

The public memorial service is done and dusted, but it is still not known where Michael Jackson will be put to rest.

The media in Los Angeles is in a frenzy trying to locate the King of Pop’s final resting place, and so far the only confirmation they have had is that Jackson’s body will not be going back to Forest Lawn.

According to sources, Jackson’s death certificate lists Forest Lawn as the responsible mortuary because the body of the late performer was embalmed there; however, all other information is being kept under lock and key.

If Jackson’s casket does go back to Forest Lawn after the family’s private wake, a source added, it’s a decoy.

Madonna Reaches Divorce Settlement

The epic battle between exes Madonna and Guy Ritchie is over before it even really began!

According to the BBC, Madge and Ritchie have reached a settlement, and “will be granted a preliminary divorce decree” at the High Court in London on Friday, which means that in six weeks and a day, their divorce will be made final and official.

The split between one of Hollywood’s super couples has been fairly benign, all things considered. Not too many nasty comments in the media, and, according to reports, a nice, amicable settlement where both parties involved get to keep their respective dosh.

Despite the fact that Ritchie was entitled – by law – to a portion of Madonna’s fortune, he will walk away from the marriage with only a meager amount of Madge’s estimated $500 million wealth.

“[Madonna] walked away without any of his money, much to her credit,” a friend said. “[Ritchie] has done the same.”

Likewise, the pair will share custody of their two children – Rocco, 8, and the adopted David, 3 – while Madonna’s daughter Lourdes (who’s not Ritchie’s biological child) will remain in America with her mother.

Another friend revealed: “[Ritchie] could have hugely boosted his bank balance and set himself up for life, but he already feels he has enough money.

“He also didn’t want the whole thing dragging on in the public gaze for months and months and, in any case, his priority was the children’s future.”

However, a source close to the couple insists this picture-perfect view of the settlement couldn’t be further from the truth, with Ritchie set to “clean up” once everything becomes final.

“[Guy's] going to get a huge windfall, contrary to what’s being reported,” the source said. “He’s getting a lot of money from the settlement. He’s not the gentleman he’s portraying himself as.”

And Madonna’s been flouncing around with A-Rod since before the divorce was announced in October, so I guess that means neither one of them is a gentleman…
