Simon Cowell Says Something RIGHT!

For once, I agree with something Simon Cowell says! I know, scary, right?

In between his usual egotastical crap in a recent interview with Parade.com, Idol judge Cowell actually made a few good points. After calling fame “fantastic,” Mr. Cowell went on a bit of a mini-rant about the celebrities of today, basically telling them to get the f**k out of the entertainment industry if they weren’t prepared to put up with the attention that comes hand-in-hand with their high profile careers.

Hear, hear!!

Mr. Cowell, in his own words: “I have zero problems being well known… Couldn’t care less if someone wants to take my picture. Anyone who complains about invasion of privacy shouldn’t work in the entertainment business. You can’t have it both ways.”

He continued with his fabulous rant, revealing that he’s just as addicted to the world of celebrity as we are here at Staralicious, and added that he thinks this new “fame epidemic” is all part of the fun of the business.

“We live right now in what I consider to be a fame epidemic,” Cowell said. “Everybody wants to be famous. That’s part of the fun. There’s something fascinating watching and hearing somebody who is obviously useless, but believes for whatever reason that they’re incredible. I find it addictive.”

I’ll have to try and remember this the next time Cowell says something horribly WRONG! ;-)

Robiert Downey Jr

Reformed drug addict, Robert Downey Jr, has taken a shot at fame obsessed celebrities claiming many are more interested in being famous than making good movies, calling them “zombies”.

“For some people, fame and success is what finishes their thing, because in some twisted way that’s all they ever wanted. I know people like that. They’re like zombies. But they’re complete zombies. They’re done; they’re cool, in a very two-dimensional way. They can move anywhere inside the frame and they’re well-lit, and it’s fine.”

He has obviously seen Paris acting.
