Isaac Hayes Dies

Legendary Soul Singer, and father of cool, Isaac Hayes has died in Memphis at 65.

Hayes’ wife, found him unconscious at his home, and rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hayes, who would have turned 66 on August 20 won an Academy Award in 1972 for his hit, ‘Theme from Shaft’.

More recently, Hayes has found new fame as the voice of Chef in South Park, before leaving the show due to its attacks on Scientology.

Jane McGrath Dead At 42

Sad news out of Australia today, with Jane McGrath, the wife of champion cricketer Glen passing away.

After a long and courageous battle against breast cancer, Jane finally succumbed today.

Below is an excerpt about Jane from the McGrath Foundation.

After her recovery from breast cancer in 2002, Jane McGrath co-founded the McGrath Foundation with her cricketing husband, Glenn. Jane experienced firsthand the benefits of a specialist breast care nurse throughout her treatment which became the principal influence for the Foundation’s creation.

Jane, had surgery earlier in the year for a recurrence of cancer and was reportedly on the road to recovery, before recent complications caused her health to deteriorate.

Jane’s health rapidly declined during the past week before she passed away with Glenn and their two children, James and Holly by her side.

Xzibit’s Baby Son Dies

More very sad news today.

Rapper and MTV personality Xzibit’s new born baby son has passed away.

Xzibit released the information on his Myspace blog.

“AS you all know, I shared with you the announcement of my newborn son Xavier Kingston Joiner on may 15th and also informed you that he was born prematurely. well this week was extremly difficult for him because his lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own. Xavier passed away this morning at 3:30am and I must tell you this, It is unatural for a parent to bury a child. I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when im having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them, dont take a second you get to hug them teach them and care for them for granted. You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family. I am thankful for all of my blessings and im not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love and thanks for the love that was sent earlier on my pervious blog to my son. Of course I need to take some time and handle my loss, STAY FOCUSED PEOPLE. Its not promised to any of us.”
