Britney Spears’ finanicial and career opportunities are now under the permanent control of her father.
The singer’s lawyers just asked the court commissioner to make her conservatorship permanent, to put a stop to the regular court appearances they’d been forced to attend in order to extend the period of control — and the judge granted the request!
The commissioner said: “The conservatorship is necessary and appropriate for the complexity of financial and business entities and [Britney] being susceptible to undue influence.”
Now, Brit’s lawyers believe it will be easier for the Toxic singer to regain custody of her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Of course, just because they have “permanent” control, doesn’t mean they always will. Brit’s minders were adamant that they would release their hold on her assets as soon as the singer was deemed “well” enough to handle her own finances.

In the wake of Michael Lohan’s slanderous comments about daughter Lindsay’s gal pal Samantha Ronson, the actress has decided to come clean, speaking out against her “loud-mouthed” father.
“He’s out of control,” Lindsay told Access Hollywood. “I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love.”
Lohan added that she and her estranged father haven’t spoken in “some time,” but she couldn’t continue to let him say hurtful things about her mother and (suspected) girlfriend Ronson any longer.
Michael Lohan make his dislike of DJ Ronson publicly known earlier in the week, calling his daughter’s girlfriend a “parasite” when he heard that Ronson was planning to write a “tell-all” book on her relationship with Lindsay.

Britney Under Father’s Control Until ‘09

The ruling is in: Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, will retain conservatorship of the singer’s finances and her estate until December 31, the L.A. Superior Court decided in a hearing on Thursday.
Commissioner Reva Goetz said after the hearing, “Ms. Spears is reluctantly agreeing to extend the temporary [conservatorship].”
However, the commissioner was quick to point out that Mr. Spears’ conservatorship could be “terminated earlier” if needed. A status hearing has been set for October 28, at which point, if the court deems Brit Brit well enough to handle her own affairs, a termination of her father’s control would be undetaken.
Jamie Spears and his attorney, Andrew Wallet, have been in control of the Toxic singer’s estate and finances since February, after Spears was hospitalised for a second time with a bipolar attack.
