Elizabeth Taylor to Skip Jackson Memorial

Dame Elizabeth Taylor has confirmed that she will not attend the memorial service of her close friend Michael Jackson, and says that the late popstar would have “approved” of her decision.

Pouring out her grief on her official Twitter page, Taylor said, “I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event.”

Though she has chosen to remain home, Taylor admits that she was asked to speak at Tuesday’s memorial service at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

“I cannot be part of the public whoopla,” the 77-year-old wrote. “And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word.”

The actress added: “I will always love Michael from the depth of my being and nothing can separate us. My love goes out to Katherine and Michael’s beloved children.”

Stiller Confirms Zoolander Sequel

As if one Zoolander wasn’t enough, another is coming to a cinema screen near you!

Ben Stiller, the man behind the infamous male model “Blue Steel”, has confirmed that a sequel to the 2001 comedy is in the works.

During a press junket for his new animated film, Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa, Stiller said: “We’ve been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we’ve had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first.”

Not only is Stiller working hard on the Zoolander sequel, but he’s also trying to get a third Meet the Parents film out of hibernation.

Now that’s a film I’d like to see.

Madonna’s Affair with Rodriguez Confirmed

Shortly after news of Madonna’s divorce from husband Guy Ritchie was made public, a source close to the 4 Minutes singer has revealed that her alleged romance with New York Yankees member Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez was real.

“[They] are definitely romantic,” the source told Usmagazine.com.

However, the source was quick to explain that Ritchie wasn’t worried about Madge’s affair, because the couple have been “secretly separated” for “over a year”.

“Guy is not invovled in this equation,” the source said. “With or without A-Rod, Madonna and Guy haven’t been ‘together’ for over a year – they have been privately separated. Madonna, however, wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing.”

Another source on the New York Yankees side added that A-Rod and Madonna had been together for some time, but had only recently kicked things up a notch.

“A-Rod and Madonna are more involved than ever,” said the source. “Alex has really missed spending tmie with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna’s in.”

The couple fueled speculation that they were an item a few months ago, when they were spotted together a number of times shortly after Rodriguez split with his own wife. At the time, both Madonna and A-Rod denied their affair, something that was no doubt paramount to Madge getting the most out of her divorce bombshell.

Ashlee Simpson to be Married Next Week

Littlest Simpson Ashlee is said to be marrying her fiance of five minutes Pete Wentz next week, amid rumours that she is in fact carrying the Fallout Boy rocker’s love-child.

“The wedding invitations have been sent out, its taking place the weekend of May 16,” a source revealed earlier today. “The location will not be revealed until the day of the wedding but guests are told it will be an hour drive from Los Angeles.”

So, I guess that means a shotgun Vegas wedding is out of the question. Damn.

A source close to the young singer has also confirmed that Ashlee is “100 % pregnant,” and that her father and manager, Pimp Daddy Joe Simpson, is already busy shopping around to get the highest price possible for the official confirmation and photographs.

It’s been confirmed: Scarlett Johansson and her 31-year-old Canadian beau of one year, Ryan Reynolds, are engaged.

The 23-year-old Lost In Translation star, who gave rep Marcel Pariseau the all-clear to inform the press overnight, is said to be “thrilled” at the engagement. As yet, no wedding date has been set.

Reynolds, who is currently working on a new film titled – conveniently enough - The Proposal, apparently popped the question to Johansson in private recently.
