Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, his rep told People today.

The boy, a first for both McConaughey and Alves, was born at 6:22 p.m. in Los Angeles. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz.

“They’re so happy!” a close friend gushed to the magazine.

McConaughey’s oldest brother, Rooster, added: “Oh, it’s going to be fun! [My brother] will make a really good dad because he’s got a lot of patience. I’m excited for him. It’s about time.”

UPDATE: Matt and Camila have called the baby boy Levi.
