Ashlee Simpson Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are now the proud parents of a healthy baby boy!

Simpson went into labour on Thursday and gave birth to Bronx Mowgli Wentz in the evening of the same day. Bronx, who is a first child for both Ashlee and Pete, weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

A rep for the couple confirmed the birth: “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Bronx… that’s almost as ridiculous as Knox… or Apple… Those poor celebrity kids never catch a break, do they?

Brad Was Emotional During Birth, Says Doctor

Brad Pitt was “very emotional” when it came time to welcome his newborn twins into the world, the overseeing physician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, said.

“[Angelina and Brad] were talking, they were together [throughout the labour and delivery],” Dr. Sussmann told reporters outside the Fondation Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, were actress Angelina Jolie had been waiting out the remainder of her pregnancy for the past few weeks.

“It was an epidural,” Sussmann continued, “so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. [She and Brad] were happy.”

Hollywood actor Pitt was at his partner’s side the entire time. “He was my assistant,” Sussmann joked. The Fight Club star even cut his babies’ umbilical cords.

Sussmann said: “[Brad] was perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional.”

He then added that the caesarian was textbook, and that there were “absolutely no problems” with the birth.

But that doesn’t mean Ange will be allowed to leave early. The French doctor added that Jolie would remain in hospital for at least a few more days, until he has ensured that she and the babies are completely healthy.

“I don’t know [when they will leave the hospital],” Sussmann said. “[Jolie] will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn’t like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay.”

The doctor added: “The babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are [all] fine.”

Angelina Jolie Gives Birth to Twins

Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, exclusive sources have revealed today.

According to the reports, the 33-year-old Tomb Raider actress had a caesarean section at 6 p.m. today – French time – and delivered two healthy baby girls. The first baby came at 6:54 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. Jolie’s Hollywood actor partner, Brad Pitt, was present during the birthing.

The hospital’s spokesperson, Nadine Bauer, is yet to confirm the arrival of the twins, telling the press a short moment ago that no journalists would be notified “within minutes” after the birth. Bauer informed the waiting media to look to the hospital’s Web site. A press released is expected to be posted there later today.

Nicole Kidman Gives Birth

Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby pillow… I mean girl.

The Australian actress and her husband, Keith Urban, welcomed their first child together on Monday morning in a Nashville hospital, just two days after country music singer Urban dedicated a song to his “very, very, VERY pregnant wife” at a concert.

They named their daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. She weighed in at 6 lbs., 7.5 oz.

Spokesman Paul Freundlich said earlier: “Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well.”

Nicole’s sister, Antonia Kidman, was also at her side for the birth.

Angelina Hasn’t Popped Yet

Angelina Jolie’s belly is still full of arms and legs, her obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussman, said in a statement yesterday.

If I remember correctly, the Tomb Raider actress’ original due date was sometime in August, and Dr. Sussman confirms it, revealing that the twins are expected to be born “in the weeks to come.”

The announcement from Jolie’s doctor comes after members of the media expressed their “concern” for the 33-year-old’s welfare. Jolie was taken to a French Riviera hospital on Sunday via helicopter, fuelling speculation that she was due to give birth any day now.

However, Dr. Sussman said in a statement on Wednesday that the actress was in the hospital, but had not yet given birth.

“She is absolutely fine,” a rep for Jolie said. “There is no need for people to worry.”

Jamie Lynn Spears Leaves Hospital

Teen mother Jamie Lynn Spears has been released from the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Centre, two days after giving birth to her daughter, Maddie Briann.

Spears was picked up early on Saturday morning by her 19-year-old fiance, Casey Aldridge. They left the hospital at 1:40 a.m. in a white Range Rover, with Spears sitting in the back seat, surrounded by a white sheet.

A police escort assisted the famous couple on their way home.

Jamie Lynn Spears Has Baby Girl

Pregnant teen star Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to a baby girl, People is reporting.

The baby, who is a first for Spears and her young fiancé Casey Aldridge, was welcomed into the world on Thursday morning. They named the newborn Maddie Briann.

A source revealed: “Just the family was there. Everyone is healthy and happy.”

Little Maddie Briann was born at approximately 9:30 a.m. at an undisclosed hospital in Mississippi, near the Spears hometown of Louisiana.

Jamie Lynn’s big sister, Britney, who already has two children of her own, flew down on Wednesday with their father, Jamie, and brother, Bryan, so they could all be with her for the birth.

The paternity of Spears’ child was leaked by Life & Style magazine back in early May. The magazine had originally given the Zoey 101 star a due date of June 29. Guess little Maddie Briann couldn’t wait until then.

This has got to be a kick in the guts for Lynne Spears.

Family insiders have said that Jamie Lynn has told her mother to butt out, feeling that she hasn’t got much support from her mother so far and doesn’t need her help with the pregnancy.

In an even bigger blow, Jamie Lynn has said she would rather have Casey’s mum in the delivery room instead of Lynne Spears.

Jessica Alba in Labour??

No confirmation has been made by Alba’s peeps, however, the rumours are that actress Jessica Alba is giving birth to her daughter as I type this blog post!

According to an eyewitness, Alba was seen being wheeled into Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles at around 10 p.m. on Friday evening. Her newly-wedded husband Cash Warren was also there, standing alongside security guards and carrying what the spy concluded was a number of ‘birthing balls.’

The Awake actress was due to give birth sometime around the end of May, and as it’s now well into June, it’s highly likely she’s in a hospital somewhere, getting ready to welcome her baby girl into the world.
