Rihanna in Hot Water Over Tattoo Incident

Rihanna is reportedly in trouble with the law after picking up a tattoo needle last night at a parlour in New York City and inking three of the artists there.
Tattooing without a license – as the pop singer has done – is illegal, and Rihanna could be slapped with three misdemeanors for the offense, including a hefty monetary penalty.
The former battery victim could face a fine upwards of $1,800 for inking three of East Side Ink’s artists with umbrellas and the letter R. The tattoo parlour could also face considerable fines of its own for allowing an unlicensed artist to knowingly use their equipment.
The New York City Health Department released the following statement to TMZ.com a short time ago: “Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this.”
