Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has revealed that she is the real reason behind the sudden cancellation of their remaining world tour concerts.
Beckham said that while the world tour has been fun, she’s decided to give up singing forever, and so pulled out of the Spice Girls reunion tour after the U.K. shows, forcing her other band members to abandon the tour as well.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a long time,” Posh Spice said earlier today. “I’m not in the music industry any more. I’m in the fashion industry.
“I’m putting together a team of people now so it will be my main project when I finish this tour in a month.
“It’s the last opportunity there will be to see the Spice Girls together.”
While the other girls wanted to continue with the tour, they realized that they would be ruined without Beckham on board, and so decided to cancel the other shows, citing “personal commitments” as the reason behind pulling out.
Posh Spice added that she’s had no desire to turn back to singing since the band first split back in 2001, and only agreed to a reunion tour so that her young children could see their mother as a pop star at least once in their lives.
“I was very nervous about going back into the Spice Girls because I didn’t want to send out a confused message,” she told News of the World.
“The reason I decided to do the tour was to show my kids that mummy was a pop star once.”
