Parisite Hilton’s new flick, The Hottie and the Nottie, apparently isn’t so “hot” after all, only averaging a piddling $81/per screening during its opening weekend.
The romantic comedy, which stars Hilton, Joel David Moore and Christine Lakin, opened in cinemas across America on Friday, only taking in $9,000 over 111 screens.
Parisite is sure to be disappointed with such a lack of interest, especially after she went “all out” with the promotions, spending three weeks travelling with the film and attending premieres in Hollywood, Dallas, Philadelphia, Harvard University and the Sundance Film Festival. The fame leech also appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and teen favourite, MTV’s TRL.
In comparision, romantic comedy rival Fool’s Good (starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey and filmed on Australia’s east coast), opened to a whopping $7.65 million this weekend.
And it only got a rating of 1 1/2 stars.
