Nicole Richie Has Hypoglycemia

Nicole Richie’s recent bout of bad health has apparently been the result of of hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar levels.
A rep for Ms. Richie says that she’s only just been diagnosed with the condition, which saw her hospitalized earlier this month while filming The Simple Life. “In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently been diagnosed with hypoglycemia.”
“Four or five times she’s felt really faint and almost passed out. She has to go into her trailer for a good part of the day.”
With her tough filmind schedule, Nicole’s rep says that the star is doing her best to manage the condition. “[She] is taking steps to manage it.”
“Nicole has reported to work each day and the results have been fantastic.”
