Nicole Richie is planning to follow her famous father into the music industry.
The “Simple Life” star, who was adopted by the 80s singer when she was a young child, admits she is desperate to launch a music career.
Nicole, 25, insists if she can enjoy just a tiny percentage of the success her dad has had she will be delighted.
She should be, I am not sure she could milk her minor celeb fame far enough for people to actually buy her records.
She said, “My whole goal in life is to be a singer! I really feel I am just starting in life, there are so many chapters coming up.”
Yep, an eating disorder clinic should be on the list.
Nicole has also revealed dad Lionel has been giving her advice about becoming a pop star, and father and daughter have also been having heart-to-heart conversations about her weight.
The super-slim star, who has been plagued by anorexia rumors in recent months, told Top of the Pops magazine, “We talk about everything and he points me in the right direction. He told me to keep my head on straight. I’ve spoken to my dad about my weight as well. He was concerned when he started hearing all these crazy things, but I told him I feel fine.”
Nicole’s “Simple Life” co-star Paris Hilton launched a pop career this year. Her single “Stars Are Blind” achieved success worldwide but her debut album Paris’ has failed to top the charts. [Source]
Novelty, wealth and being famous for being famous can only take you so far. Nicole doesn’t even attain half of these qualities on the scale of Paris, so I would say that she has about as much chance of success as a Quarter Punder has at being eaten by Nicole.
