Missy Higgins: “Not So Straight”
Aussie singer, Missy Higgins, has finally come out of the closet (or at least halfway), admitting to a new national lesbian magazine, Cherrie, that she is in fact bisexual. ÂÂ
The ARIA-winning performer has fuelled speculation about her sexual orientation in the past, but felt it was time to let everyone know that she’s “not so straight.”

While Higgins refused to go the whole hog and call herself gay, she did say that she was bisexual, and called herself a “not-so-straight girl.”
“I think a lot of people fall under that broad umbrella term,” she said.
“I think sexuality is a fluid thing and it’s becoming increasingly more acceptable to admit that you’re that way. I don’t think it’s necessary to have to define yourself by any label.
“If you’re comfortable with who you are and you know who you are on the inside, people will love you for it.”
Missy Higgins has joined a growing list of Aussie singers who’ve come out recently. Other celebrities on that list include former Savage Garden frontman, Darren Hayes and Australian Idol runner-up, Anthony Callea.
