Mary-Kate Olsen Issues Statement on Heath Ledger

One half of the famous Olsen twins duo, Mary-Kate, has released a statement to ET this morning regarding the passing of her rumoured boyfriend, Australian Heath Ledger.
“Heath was a friend,” Olsen says. “His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.”
Recently, there have been rumours circulating the web suggesting that the New York Police Department would like to speak with Ms. Olsen in regards to the “several” phone calls she received from the masseuse who discovered Ledger’s body on Tuesday. However, a source at the NYPD has revealed that any reports of that nature are completely false, and that they have “no interest in talking to Mary-Kate” at this time.
The masseuse allegedly called the Two of a Kind actress up to four times after finding Heath’s unconscious body in the SoHo apartment, before finally phoning the paramedics.
