Marlon Brando’s Son Dies
Christian Brando, the eldest son of legendary actor Marlon Brando, has died, Page Six is reporting.
Brando’s attorney, Benjamin Brin, announced earlier in the week that the actor had been hospitalized with pneumonia. “The prognosis is for a complete recovery,” Brin said. “He’s going to be ok.”
However, Christian passed away at 1:47 a.m. (U.S. time) this morning at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Centre in L.A. He was only 49.
Christian’s life has never been like that of his late Academy Award-winning father, Marlon’s. The result of an affair between his father and Anna Kashfi, Christian became a mediocre actor in a few small budget productions, and had a number of run-ins with the law.

In 1990, Brando pled guilty to manslaughter for killing Dag Drollet, his sister’s boyfriend, and in 2001, he was charged with the murder of Bonnie Lee Bakley, a former girlfriend. Christian was later acquitted of the charge, but it is believed he killed Bakley – who was the wife of actor Robert Blake – because she’d been dating them both at the same time, and had fallen pregnant with Blake’s child.
At the present time, there are no further details on the cause of his death, though due to his poor health it is most likely related to the illness he was suffering from at the time. Brando’s death comes just days after the shock passing of Australian actor, Heath Ledger, in New York City.
