Madonna’s Pot Shot At Jolie

It looks like Madonna might be having a dig at Angelina in an interview with Time magazine, that goes on sale on Monday.
In the interview, Madonna was asked about her “jumping on a bandwagon” of African orphan adoption. Her response: “Look, I could have joined the U.N. and become an ambassador and visited various countries and just kind of showed up and smiled and looked concerned. But that’s not getting to the root of the problem – and by the way, neither is building orphan care centers and giving people food and medicine.”
OK, now the only U.N. ambassador that seems to fit this bill is Angelina Jolie. But just in case there is any ambiguity, Madonna goes on to say: “I’m not interested in going in there like a dilettante and being an idiot and going ‘OK, I’m going to build 10 orphanages and I’ll see you guys later!’” [Source]
I am not particularly enraptured by either of them, but I can’t see how Madonna attacking Jolie serves any purpose for her, especially with the heat she is presently under.
