Madonna Likens Media’s Treatment of Britney to a Witch-Hunt

Madonna’s ‘Leave Britney Alone’ campaign has hit another milestone this week, with the pop star likening the media’s treatment of the Toxic singer to and African witch-hunt!

After repeated calls by Mads (and daughter Lourdes) to leave the struggling mother-of-two alone, the ‘happily married’ wife of Guy Ritchie tells Vanity Fair that she’s not sure who’s worse off in the world: persecuted Africans, or Britney Spears.

Mads asks: “When you think about the way people treat each other in Africa, about witchcraft and people inflicting cruelty and pain on each other, then come back here and, you know, people taking pictures of people when they’re in their homes, being taken to hospitals, or suffering, and selling them, getting energy from them, that’s a terrible infliction of cruelty. So who’s worse off?”

Will someone shut her up?

As much as I do feel sorry for Brit Brit and how her life has spiralled out of control recently (let’s remember it’s not just the media we have to blame for her fall *cough* pimp mother *cough*), there’s no way you could even think of comparing her life to that of Africa and all its poverty.

C’mon, Mads, we all know you’re just milking this Britney thing for all you can!
