Lindsay Lohan is Daddy’s Girl

In the wake of her alcohol and possibly drug-induced car accident on the weekend, Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael, has broken his silence to the media, expressing his concern for her well-being.
The 47-year-old, who has apparently found God since his recent release from prison, said that he’s very worried Lindsay is following in his troubled footsteps, because they’re so much alike personality-wise.
“In one of our conversations she told me, ‘Daddy, I am just like you! I am you’,” Michael Lohan said.
“I’m the first to admit I’ve made mistakes in the past – whether it was from acting out, abusing cocaine and alcohol or listening to the wrong people. But I hope and pray my daughter learns from my mistakes. I don’t want her to end up where I did.”
Michael also explains that he’s not sure what to make of all the rumours surrounding his daughter, particularly the ones which put her name and drugs in the same happy sentence.
“She’s an extremely talented actress and at the moment she’s wasting the gifts God gave her,” he says. “Obviously I’ve heard all the rumours and comments, but I don’t know what to believe. I certainly know the path I’d like her to take. People who are close to both Lindsay and I tell me they are concerned. I would like to be there for my daughter.”
“I want to look in her eyes and know the truth. I can help her in a lot of ways.”
Somehow, I don’t think Lindsay wants any help, least of all from her estranged father… but perhaps, if it looks like she may go to prison, it might be a different story.
