Lane Garrison To Serve 40 Months In Jail

I’d thought the Prison Break star had received his sentencing a few months back, but apparently not, as he was told in a court room yesterday that he will serve 40 months in a state prison for the charge of vehicular manslaughter.
His lawyer, Harlan Braun, said after the trial that he “thought it was a fair sentence.”
As well as his significant stint in prison, the television actor was ordered to pay more than US $280,000 to the victim’s families.
Before his sentencing, Garrison read out a statement to the court and to the victim’s family: “I think of you guys [the victim's family] every night. I felt what it’s like to be in prison. I want to show that my walk with sobriety will be very easy. I want to help other kids not make the same mistake I did. I just want to say how sorry I am to the Setian family. I am sickened by my behavior on that night. My thoughts keep coming back to that night.”
Let’s hope he doesn’t make the same mistake again, and that this trip to jail will do the trick and sober him up.
