Kiefer Sutherland Arrested For DUI

Here’s something we haven’t heard before… a Hollywood star has just been busted for DUI!! Shocking, right? This time, though, it’s not a member of Hollywood’s law-breaking slut-pack that’s been arrested, but 40-year-old 24 star, Kiefer Sutherland.

The veteran actor was nabbed on suspicion of DUI last night in West Hollywood, and apparently blew “more than twice the legal limit of .08″ when tested by the cops at the scene.

Funnily enough, this is not Sutherland’s first DUI arrest — he was first caught in 2004, and due to California law (which we all know very well now, thanks to the likes of Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan), he faces jail time for his dual arrests. If he’s convicted - and, given our past experiences with celeb DUI’s, he should be - he will face the mandatory minimum five days in prison.

TMZ is reporting that Kiefer was “pulled over around 1:35 a.m. PST on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly.” He’d been at the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party (being held at Area nightclub), prior to his arrest.

The actor was booked by police at 4:09 a.m. after being stopped for making an illegal U-turn, and was later released on a $25,000 bail at 5:42 a.m. During his short stay in the slammer, police say the star was “cooperative and mellow.”

Of course, Sutherland’s rep has no comment on the arrest, and gave the following statement to pap powerhouse, TMZ.com: “It would be premature to comment at this time.”

Kiefer’s court date is currently scheduled to take place on October 16.
