Jessica Simpson Turns To Country Music

With her mediocre attempts at a pop career and even more mediocre acting career, big-breasted Jessica Simpson had set her sights on the world of country music, in the hopes that the industry could be her “true calling.”
Her father and “pimp-daddy” manager, Joe Simpson, told People at Hard Rock Hotel’s Rolling Stone party in Sin City recently: “[Jessica is] talking about doing a country record and going back to her roots, being from Texas.”
“Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing,” he said, “and country music still believes in that.”
With a couple of new movie flops under her belt (the most recent being the straight-to-DVD bomb, Blonde Ambition), and an album that failed to hit the mark last year, it seems only fitting that she turn to possibly the only genre of celebritism that won’t find her a joke.
“She’s a singer from top to bottom,” Papa Joe said. “And everything in the music business, especially pop music, has moved away from singers. And I think country is the the only pure, storytelling kind of genre left.”
Yeah, that… and the fact that Papa Joe’s already pimped his daughter in every other possible genre.
