Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo Split

Another man bites the dust for Jessica Simpson! The pop star and her pro athelete beau, Tony Romo, have split, according to sources.

Last weekend, Romo and a few college pals had a number of ‘bachelor-style’ hard partying sessions in Chicago, which left many to speculate whether things between he and Simpson were on shaky ground. And they were, as one of Romo’s pals revealed that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback broke the news of the split on Saturday night.

“They’re broken up,” the pal said. “He told us they broke up and that was that. We’re guys so we didn’t talk about it much.”

According to an eyewitness who was at Uncle Fatty’s Rum Resort with Romo, the footballer was consuming an “impressive” amount of alcohol [Grey Goose and Diet Cokes] and was surrounded by women who were desperate for a piece of him.

“He was surrounded by girls,” the eyewitness said. “We had to restrain some who forcibly tried to make their way to his table.”

Over the course of the evening, Romo invited more beauties to party at his side, at one point filling up the nightclub’s bus with talent from the nearby Hard Rock Hotel.

Even though the bar was swimming with gorgeous women, Romo apparently only had eyes for one. “He zeroed in on one blonde all night,” a source explained. “That blonde wasn’t Jessica Simpson.”

I guess that means Jess and Tony aren’t getting married, after all…
