Jessica Simpson to Study Religion

Jessica Simpson wants to get back in touch with her spiritual side, and has decided that studying theology at college could be the way to do it.

The pop star turned country music flop said that television - and not her former minister father, Papa Joe - inspired her to pursue religion as a future career.

“I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion,” the Dukes of Hazzard star told Marie Claire. “I love religion.

“I remember whenever the book ‘The Da Vinci Code’ came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVoed and then watched eight times.”
