Jessica Simpson & John Mayer Split

It’s almost official - Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have called it quits… for now. However, a source close to the couple has said that neither one of them believes this split will be permanent.
The source said: “They have broken up. But they have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times before.”
Despite the split, Jessica and John as still in constant contact, and the source says that it’s only a matter of time before their “off” stage is exchanged for another “on” one.
“They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don’t know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up,” added the source.
“I’m sure they’ll get back together.”
Not if you believe what a pal of Mayer’s had to say about their break-up…
“John did say that he broke up [with Jessica]. He said that it was because he was just over it,” the pal said.
Now that doesn’t sound like they’ll be getting back together anytime soon…
Reps for both John and Jessica responded to the rumours by saying they “refused to comment on their clients’ personal lives.”
