Jessica Simpson is “Very Happy”

The same day her split with John Mayer was announced, Jessica Simpson spoke with People at the Cannes Film Festival, insisting that right now, she’s “very happy.”

When asked about the recent break-up, Simpson fobbed off the question, explaining that she refuses to comment on her personal life.

“I am very happy, but I don’t really want to talk about my personal life tonight because it’s not what it’s about. But I am very happy. I will let you know that.”
