Jessica Simpson Creates Box Office History

Don’t be fooled, this isn’t box office history of the good kind. In its opening weekend, Jessica Simpson’s new flick, Blonde Ambition, took in a mere $1,190, making it one of the biggest crashing films of all time!
The movie, co-starring Luke Wilson, was only shown in eight Texas theatres due to its limited release status, but if you do the math, it makes things seem even worse. As ContactMusic.com put it, that equates to each theatre taking in a measly $50 per day, and if you divvy up the ticket prices per person, it means that only six people showed up to see the film each day. Eek!
Ken Fox, an online film critic, said: “Doesn’t someone like Jessica Simpson have more than 48 friends? What about that big Texas family of hers? …Just how bad is this thing anyway?”
Well, she obviously doesn’t have as many friends as she first thought. And as for how bad it is, well… I think I see a Razzy in her no-too-distant future.
