The reports are now rolling in on Michael Jackson’s unconfirmed death.

US gossip site TMZ.com has “unofficially” confirmed the news that the iconic pop star died in the ambulance on the way to UCLA Medical Centre, after suffering a cardiac arrest. Ambulance officers were “unable to revive” the Thriller singer, after receiving a 911 call to his house at around 5:30 a.m. (AEST).

Jackson’s father, Joe, told the website earlier that his son “wasn’t doing too well,” but he didn’t know the cause at that stage.

“I am not sure what’s wrong,” he said to TMZ. “I am waiting to hear back from [the doctors].”

According to officials on the scene, paramedics found Jackson without a pulse in his home, and were unable to revive him during the drive to the hospital.

News of Jackson’s death comes just hours after Charlie’s Angels actress Farrah Fawcett lost her long battle with cancer.
