I’m Back!!!

After two long weeks of relaxing vacation time in the beautiful Australian state of Tasmania, I’m home and blogging again (and catching up on all the gossip I missed while I was away)!
I can’t believe I missed the Britney-Kevin split, as well as TomKat’s wedding!!! I guess that’s what happens when you go away for a while…
But I’m back now, and excited to get back into the world of Hollywood gossip!
I must say I had a fantastic time, and if ever you get a chance to explore Tazzy, take it! It truly is one of Australia’s most beautiful states, and I was almost sad to have to leave it!
First stop was Hobart…and you can’t explore Hobart without a trip to Mt Wellington – gorgeous scenery, absolutely freezing, and we were lucky enough to witness some of the last snowflakes of the year (this is all in spring, mind you, and the temps are still around the 4 degrees or lower mark – just wonderful)!
Another favourite stop of mine was to the little historic town of Richmond (about 30mins north-east of Hobart). It has Australia’s oldest bridge and oldest Catholic church, as well as a convict gaol built five years before Port Arthur!!
The Tahune Forest Airwalk outside of Geeveston was also a fantastic, unique experience. You really can’t beat the feeling of walking on air above the forest canopy!
My favourite place of the whole trip was Cradle Mountain. There are so many things to see, and if you’re a ‘doing’ person, you’ll be kept as busy as you want to be, with all of the walks to various locations around the National Park. I did the Dove Lake walk, and got some spectacular up-close shots of the world-famous mountain!
There’s also a new Tasmanian Devil Park there where you can get ‘up close and personal’ with the little creatures – you can’t hold them, but you can give them a little pat if you wish.
It was a wonderful trip, and I hope I’m able to get back there soon!!!
