Hilton’s Pre-Appeal Appeal

TMZ has just revealed that Paris Hilton’s lawyer has filed a notice with the court, making their intention of appealing the 45-day prison sentence known.
Apparently, this is one of the many formalities lawyers must take before they can actually lodge an appeal. In order to be allowed to appeal, Hilton’s attonery must “prove that the trial judge abused his discretion by imposing the sentence.”
It’s all a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo to me, but I just hope this “mumbo-jumbo” doesn’t get Paris off… the only reason she got that sentence handed to her was because she deserved it – not because she’s blonde, or a “self-titled” celebrity, or even because she’s “Paris Hilton”…
