Hilton’s Jail Term Cut in Half

As expected, Paris Hilton’s sentenced jail time has been cut in half by jail officials, due to her good behaviour and turning up to scheduled court proceedings.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said yesterday that Hilton will now spend 23 days in a “special needs housing unit” at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, keeping her away from the other inmates.
The unit Paris will spend her days is in one of 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officals, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.
There will be no preferential treatment, with Hilton only allowed about an hour per day outside of her cell like her fellow inmates, which can be used for showering, outdoor activities, watching television or making phone calls.
Calls to her lawyer and publicist have as yet not been returned.
