Hilary & Joel’s TRL Encounter

For the first time since their split last November, Hilary Duff and Joel Madden ran into each other on the set of hit MTV show, TRL.
“I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is,” Hilary told People. “I mean, what am I going to do? It’s life.”
Even though they knew about the meeting, Hilary admits that it was still a little awkward and scary for her.
“It was the first time we’d seen each other [since the split] and it was so, like, nerve-racking,” she explains.
“It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me.”
“I’m happy and he’s happy and I think that’s all that counts.”
It’s nice to see they can still be civil to each other, especially since there’s been rumours going around that Hils is less-than-happy with Joel’s new choice of partner, Nicole Richie.
