Heath Ledger’s Love Child

The Ledger family feud is turning very nasty. Heath Ledger’s uncle says the late actor may have had a love-child.

Haydn Ledger brother of Heath’s father Kim says his nephew had a brief affair when he was a 17-year-old schoolboy.

News Limited reports the woman then aged 25 discovered she was pregnant after their relationship had ended and she was living with another man at the time.

Mr Ledger is quoted as saying there’s a very real possibility Heath was the father.

An unnamed Ledger family source says the woman had a girl but that everyone lived under the assumption she was the daughter of her mother’s boyfriend.

Now, it is fair to say that there has been a massive amount of spin placed on Heath’s death, but my question is, why did Heath’s uncle, Hayden, feel that this had to be spoken about publicly? Fair enough if there is a possibility of it being factual, deal with it in private and in consultation with the woman concerned, but I can’t see how this achieves any other purpose then to hurt Ledger’s parents and his reutation.
