Several news outlets have today confirmed that the late Heath Ledger and Mary-Kate Olsen were dating.
The actors, who first met over the summer of 2006 and have been close friends ever since, were apparently dating “casually” for three months prior to Ledger’s tragic death on Wednesday.
A source revealed: “Mary-Kate and Heath were casually dating for three months before Heath’s death.
“They were hooking up, but neither were particularly interested in making it exclusive.”
Another source claims that what drew the unlikely pair together was their love of partying, which they were able to use to form a bond and close friendship. ÂÂ
“They had a bond that was based on partying, and they had the same tastes in partying … like, in terms of where they liked to hang out in New York, what time they would want to go out. They just had the same sensibility,” the source said.
Mary-Kate was first mentioned in connection with Ledger’s death when the masseuse who found his body called her instead of the paramedics. It was believed to have been Olsen’s apartment the Brokeback Mountain actor was staying in the day of his death, but this rumour was later proved to be false.
