Group Tension Behind ‘Spice Girls’ Tour Cancellation?

Yesterday, we first reported that the Spice Girls’ shock world tour cancellation was due to “family and personal commitments” and the need to wrap things up by the end of February, however, the Daily Mail is reporting this morning that the real reason behind pulling out is the massive amounts of tension between the band members.

Sources close to the group have come forward today and revealed that both Mel B and Mel C have no desire to continue with the world tour, and have forced the management team to scale back all of the remaining concerts, which include performances in Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa.

The girls took on extra concerts in both the U.K. and the U.S., which infringed upon their commitments elsewhere in the world, and when the time came to reschedule those shows that would be missed out, both Melanie’s refused to have any part of it.

A friend of Scary Spice’s said: “Mel B wasn’t having any of it. She misses her husband and children and said she couldn’t go on. She’s also been flooded with US offers after her success on Dancing With Stars.”

Another source said: “Mel C agreed it was time to call it a day. She was the least excited about it. She also feared it might jeopardize her solo career.”
