After initially admitting that she was “uneasy” about working with Shannen Doherty again, actress Jennie Garth has revealed that her first day on the job with her former, fiery 90210 co-star “wasn’t as bad” as she’d thought.

Garth told TV Guide: “It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

“I’m not much of a small talker, and I don’t think she is either. I was a little nervous because I hadn’t seen or talked to her in 14 years. Everyone was making it out to be such a big deal that I think we both fell prey to having that affect us.”

Back in their 90210 heyday, Garth and Doherty were notorious enemies on the set, and even got into a fistfight once. However, Garth says that they’ve put their past tensions behind them, and are now working quite well together.

“I think it will be ok,” she said. “We’re both grown women, both professionals. Once we were working, it felt like a good fit.”

Ryan Eggold, who plays Kelly’s new love interest on the show, admitted that “everybody was on pins and needles and sort of waiting to see how [Garth and Doherty would] react.”

“They started off kind of tentative,” he explained, “but by the time we were five takes in, they were giggling and seemed to be reconnectiong.”

While things with Doherty are better than she thought they would be, Garth is still upset that fellow 90210 co-star, Tori Spelling, isn’t going to be a part of the spinoff show.

“I know Shannen probably doesn’t share the feelings that I have for Tori, but I love Tori like my sister,” a teary Garth professed to TV Guide.

Garth added that she’s still trying her best to get Spelling back on board, and hopes that fans of the show will launch a “Bring Back Donna Martin” campaign to put the pressure on the show’s producers.
