Ellen Gives Portia Pink Diamonds

Ellen DeGeneres and girlfriend Portia De Rossi admitted they were busy planning their “dream wedding,” as they walked the red carpet at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on Friday night.
Talk show queen DeGeneres, who won the Emmy for outstanding talk-show host for the fourth year running, told the waiting press that she and her new fiance had set a wedding date.
“Yes, we have set a wedding date,” DeGeneres said.
De Rossi showed off her brand new Neil Lane diamond ring, which DeGeneres had given her for the wedding. The Australian actress wore the sparkler on her wedding finger, allowing photographers to get in a few snaps of the marquis cut white and pink diamond set.
“Planning a wedding is very stressful,” DeGeneres added. “It is crazy. My gardener is now invited.”
“[But it will be] the dream wedding,” she insisted.
When pressed for further details, both DeGeneres and De Rossi refused to comment, only revealing that “incredible people” would be performing at their dream nuptials, and that part of the ceremony would be aired on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I can’t wait to be married,” Ellen gushed on the red carpet. “I feel like it is long overdue.
“And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don’t have the same rights.”
DeGeneres, 50, first announced she would marry long-time girlfriend De Rossi, 35, on her award-winning talk show in May, shortly after California’s Supreme Court over-ruled the previous band on gay marriages.
