‘Deathly Hallows’ Split in Two
It’s official, folks! The final book in the Harry Potter franchise will be split into two films, Warner Bros. has announced today.
For months there has been talks of having eight Harry Potter movies instead of seven, and earlier today a spokesperson for the company behind blockbuster the films revealed that Deathly Hallows would be released in two parts.
The films, simply titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, will be released to the world in November 2010 and May 2011 respectively.
Producer David Heyman and Director David Yates (who are currently working on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) will return for the final two films, set to begin production in early 2010. Screenwriter Steve Kloves, who is popular with Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, will also return for the last installments.
