Cruise Apologises to Shields

In light of his recent expulsion from Paramount Studios the Tom Cruise seems to be considering some of his past behavior. First cab off the rank was an apology to Brooke Shields for his public criticism of her use of anit-depressants. [See Cruise Lauer Video]
The 41-year-old Shields said she had received the apology in person on Thursday.
“He came over to my house, and he gave me a heartfelt apology,” Shields said during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He apologised for bringing me into the whole thing and for everything that happened.
“And through it all, I was so impressed with how heartfelt it was. I didn’t feel at any time that I had to defend myself, nor did I feel that he was trying to convince me of anything other than the fact that he was deeply sorry. And I accepted it.” He is an actor remember!!
The two had a public argument last year after the Mission: Impossible III star criticised her for taking anti-depressants after the birth of her first daughter.
Cruise, echoing the position of the Church of Scientology, of which he is a member, said in an appearance on NBC’s Today show that depression can be treated with exercise and vitamins rather than drugs.
Cruise’s spokesman Arnold Robinson confirmed in a statement the celebrities had made up. But he went on: “He has not changed his position about anti-depressants.” [Source]
