Following on from yesterday’s posts on female celebs past their prime, comes this picture of Courtney Love.
I have never thought that there was ever a time when Courtney was in her prime; for some reason the dazed, drugged, junky look just never did it for me.
I am not sure if the heavily collagened look is much better though.
So what do you do if you have a new look and are trying to resurrect a career? You milk a controversial topic for your own end. What is a recent controversial topic? Mel Gibson.
Courtney is creditting Mel for saving her from a life of drugs, after he forced her to seek professional help at a rehabilitation treatment centre.
Gibson decided to help the former heroin addict – who was married to the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain – when he realized she was hanging out with the wrong people.
I know a few others he had better call as well.
“I kept slamming the door in his face. There were two drug people with me who wouldn’t leave so he couldn’t get me to rehab,” The Post Chronicle quoted her, as saying.
“But because of Mel, the drugs people ran off to have a cheeseburger with him, because he’s Mel, and then my drug minder Warren could get me into rehab,” she added.
You would think she could have milked it a little more, but I guess when you are recovering from years of being a space cadet, the old brain just doesn’t work too well.
